Magic For Love

The Shepherd and His Flock
The Shepherd and His Sheep
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber; but he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens; the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” (John 10:1-5 RSV)

Diamond Girl
Oil on Canvas (ORIGINAL)
Diamond Girl – you sure do shine
Glad I found you – glad you’re mine
Oh my love you’re like a precious stone
Part of earth where heaven has rained on
Makes no difference where you are
Day or nighttime you’re like a shinin’ star
And how could I shine without you
When it’s about you that I am
Diamond Girl – roamin’ wild
Such a rare thing – radiant child
I could never find another one like you
Part of me is deep down inside you
Can’t you feel the whole world’s a-turnin’
We are real and we are a-burnin’
Diamond Girl now that I’ve found you
It’s around you that I am.

"Midsummer's Day" is also the night of the fairies
The special power of the night before Enyovden
Many Christian countries celebrate midsummer’s day. In Bulgaria, June 24 is known as Enyovden, a day to celebrate witches, healers and the local folklore fairies known as samodiva. Before doctors existed, women were the healers of the villages.
For centuries, it was believed that the night before Enyovden was when medicinal herbs had the strongest healing power, and so women would go out before sunrise to gather all the herbs they needed for the year ahead.
Finders of four-leaf clover
Oil on Canvas
As is often the case, it all goes back to Eve. Legend has it that as she and Adam were being hustled out of the Garden of Eden, she plucked a four-leaf clover to carry with her as a souvenir of Paradise. The druids of the ancient Celtic world wouldn’t have known Eve from Adam, as it were, but they too were big fans of four-leaf clovers and carried them around to ward off malevolent spirits. This practice evolved into a medieval theory that a four-leaf clover would give you the ability to spot fairies and take evasive action if necessary .

Ikar
Oil on Canvas (ORIGINAL)
With white wings of wax and feathers
I started to fly brightly towards the sun.
I floated confidently into the heavens,
spreading its wings miserably, I rose incessantly.
But I, the fool, have forgotten my weakness,
intoxicated with blind pride,
I overestimated my youth.
I greedily held out my hands to the sun,
I almost reached it there, in the blue sky.
In an instant I was helpless, wingless,
I crashed into the Black Sea from the inside destroyed.
And realizing my mistake, I started to take a breath,
but desperate, failed,
I was forced to accept my fate.
