VLADI - ART
Art is a lie that makes us able to realize the truth. Pablo Picasso

A Few Words About Me
I started my artistic life as a painter when i was kid with a portrait of my grandmother. She was my god then. 🙂
In elementary school, sculpture caught my attention.
A friend took me to his brother’s studio who was a sculptor. There was a bull made of bronze.
I was so impressed that I still make bulls. 🙂 And so it all began.

My education
I, graduated from State National School of Fine Arts “Ilia Petrov” and then I, graduated at the Sculpture Department of the University of Fine Arts National Academy of Art “Nikolai Pavlovich”
as a sculpture student in the course tutored by Prof. Boris Gondov.
Like all of the sculptors i recognized Michelangelo’s genius and perfection, however i was greatly impressed by the works of the Auguste Rodin.
I was interested in form, the introduction of metaphor in figural sculpture.
My sculptures are a symbol of the truth about man and the environment that man creates.
The greatest inspiration for the artist are God who created the world and nature.”The first sculptor in the world was God (…) The artist is approaching the ideal of the Creator”.
I liked to work using natural materials such as metal, granite, bronze, wood, and marble.

Making a sculpture of wax
To each piece the you attaches a series of solid wax rods . Think of the named as channels. They allow the molten bronze to appropriately flow into all areas of the sculpture. They also serve as vents to release any air or gases. A larger wax funnel is also added to the sculpture. This is where the wax will melt out of and where the molten bronze will be poured in.
